About Seehab Ahmed

I've run revenue teams from the inside. Now I do it for founders.

I'm Seehab Ahmed, founder of Stratus Growth. I've led a 25-person sales organisation across the UK and US with £4.5M in annual recurring revenue, built a sales function from zero at an engineering software business and founded two businesses of my own. I'm building a marketplace now. Stratus is how I do the same work for founders.

Why Stratus exists

I've watched good businesses stall for the same few reasons. The sales system stops moving. The ads cost more every month and nobody can say what they bring in. The owner wants to start properly but the budget is small. Or everyone knows AI matters and nobody knows where it would save the most time.

I've spent most of my career fixing those problems from the inside, and I want to do it for businesses that can't yet hire someone like me full-time.

The team that had missed every target

From October 2024 to June 2026 I was Head of Agency Sales at an award-winning UK performance marketing agency working with SMEs in services and ecommerce. I led 25 people across the UK and US.

The UK team had missed every target in the first half of 2025. A top seller had been promoted into management and it hadn't worked. The team was stagnating, and a few top account executives had too much say over the culture. It needed new people, lead data run by a system rather than instinct, live coaching for the SDRs, and tracking for lead-to-deal rates and missed upsells. Within four months it reached 109% of quota.

The US side had plenty of people and no presence or leadership. Progression was limited, and so was the range of services on sale. Cold-calling technique was poor, and the time difference meant nobody was watching. So I worked US hours and managed the team hands-on. Contract value grew 44% year on year against 25% volume growth, and lead-to-deal conversion rose from under 20% to 30% while lead flow grew 72%.

Building from nothing

Before that I built the sales function at Docan, an engineering software business, from zero. It taught me to speak to potential customers first, get to grips with the problems the software solves and find the ideal customer profile from there.

I founded Tandem Recruit and grew it to 20 active clients, with Preferred Supplier status at two UK Top 20 accountancy firms. I stopped because I couldn't sell and grow the business at the same time. I know first-hand how hard it is to grow a business without the right support, and that's the gap Stratus fills.

What I'm building now

Nodus is a live marketplace I started in May 2026 as an evenings side project, while I was still running the agency sales organisation. I built and shipped it, and its marketing site, with no engineering background, using AI-assisted development. I designed the go-to-market myself: the ideal customer profile, vendor acquisition, a HubSpot pipeline and a database of more than 780 vendors built through an automated enrichment pipeline.

Alongside Stratus, I lead enterprise AI adoption programmes with Microsoft Copilot and Claude, and I'm rebuilding the commercial engine for a UK digital agency.

How I think about the work

I'm not there to manage your team or your relationships. I'm there to find what's broken and help fix it, or build it from scratch, and to make the people already doing the job more successful.

I studied architecture at De Montfort University. It shaped how I approach problems: understand how the whole thing is meant to work before changing any part of it.

I'm based in Manchester and work across the UK. I speak English, Urdu and Punjabi.
