Sales and AI help for recruitment businesses

Recruitment businesses sell on both sides of every placement, so the sales system matters twice over. I founded Tandem Recruit, built an AI recruitment platform and was a top 20 billing consultant at PageGroup. I help recruitment firms build business development that doesn't depend on a few billers, and use AI well.

What's different about selling recruitment services?

Recruitment is sold on relationships and speed, and preferred supplier lists decide who even gets to pitch. I know it from three sides: billing at PageGroup, running my own recruitment business, and building an AI recruitment platform that won letters of intent from employers and term sheets from two angel investors.

What mistakes do recruitment businesses make?

  • Relying on a few billers' relationships for all new business
  • A CRM that tracks candidates well and clients badly
  • AI used differently by every consultant, with no shared approach

What I see
Almost everyone in recruitment uses AI in some form. How well they use it is another question.
In numbers
I grew Tandem Recruit to 20 active clients and around £80k annual revenue, with Preferred Supplier status at two UK Top 20 accountancy firms.
